Youth Mission Trips St Paul United Methodist Church
Fusion Youth Mission Tour - June 18-24, 2011.jpg)
Our St Paul Youth Choir and Sr High Youth are excited to set out on a 7-day tour to NYC. Nineteen youth and fourteen chaperones and staff will depart early on June 18. We have combined our annual trips, and have six different missions we are undertaking along the way to include:
- Ministering to the Bowery Mission, a shelter for homeless men and haven for those in recovery, during their midday meal and leading worship
- Repacking food items through FOOD BANK NYC at their 90,000 sq ft. warehouse for distribution throughout the metropolitan area
- Serving the homeless at the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen
- Staffing “Tabitha’s Closet,” a clothing ministry through The Park UMC (Kerry Thrush’s church) near Cincinnati
- Leading worship for Faith UMC, our Pittsburgh area hosts
- Presenting a musical program at the Cathedral of St John the Divine
There are still a couple of spots for Sr High Youth to go. Please contact David Garvin dsgarvin84@gmail.com or Jim Rittenhouse jimritt@gmail.com.
