Youth
St. Paul Youth Ministries offers many opportunities for students from 7th to 12th grade to connect with God and others. Listed below are a few of our opportunities:
Sunday Morning Groups (10-11a)
Our Sunday Morning Grups offer the youth a time to grow in their wisdom and knowledge of God, and learn how to relate biblical truths to life.
Middle School Class: Meets weekly in the Blue Room in the Youth Center.
High School Class: Meets weekly in the Orange Room in the Youth Center.
Sunday Night Gathering (6-8p)
Our Sunday Night Gatherings are a terrific place for youth to get connected with the youth ministry and bring friends who might be new to church. Our Sunday Night Gathering meets during the school year on Sunday evenings from 6-8p. in the Family Life Center.
The Sunday Night Gathering has four components:
- Food – Eating dinner together as a group.
- Fun – A planned activity or game to bond as a group.
- Formation – A time of worship, reflection, and response that connects youth with God and each other in an experiential way.
- Fellowship–A time of conversation that helps youth be formed to the image of God.
These four components are integrated to maximize making God’s story our story, to retain the story by living it into the world, and to share it with others along life’s journey. Our upcming year will explore the stories of scripture's most interesting characters (i.e. Abraham, Rahab, Zaccheus, Lydia, and others).
Our Sunday Night Schedule often looks like:
6:00 - 6:30 - Dinner (Social Hall)
6:30 - 7:00 - Activity
7:00 - 8:00 - Worship (Youth Center)
7:00 - 7:20 - Opening Music & Teaching
7:20 - 7:45 - Small Groups
7:45 - 8:00 - Closing Music & Prayer
Wesley Nights
We offer mission-oriented opportunities on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. (during the school year) that focus on living out a relationship with God by serving others. This ministry offers opportunities to serve others in the church, the community, and throughout the world. At the end of each month, we participate in a small group study to cement what we have learned by serving others.
On Brooklawn nights (9/12, 9/26, 10/10, 11/7, 12/5): Meet in the Youth Center at 6:15p to carpool to Brooklawn. The group will return to St. Paul by 8p. Those attending will need to either eat dinner at home, or grab a quick dinner at church between 6:00 - 6:15p.
On non-Brooklawn nights: Meet in the Youth Center at 7p for the activity. The activity will conclude by 8p.
